    Police are asking for witnesses to an assault which left someone with critical injuries in Wellington over the weekend


    A man was approached by a group of young people just before 5pm in Miramar and assaulted.

    He fell and hit his head on the concrete and was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

    Police want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, saw anything or may have CCTV footage of the incident.
