An employment expert believes changes to part-time sick leave are overdue

An employment expert believes changes to part-time sick leave are overdue

The Prime Minister's confirmed the Government's considering changing the 10 days of statutory sick leave.

It was doubled in 2021 from five to 10, as part of the response to the pandemic.

Employment Expert Jarrod Haar says less sick-leave for full-time workers isn't a good move, but believes the current system for part-timers is ridiculous.

Haar says he could work 2 days a week and still get 10 days of sick leave, essentially equal to a tenth of the working year.
