Marlborough District Council's asking residents to prepare evacuation plans - as wet weather rolls in

MetService has issued an orange heavy rain warning for the region until 6pm tomorrow.
Peak rates up to 30 millimetres are expected from this afternoon.
Emergency Management Controller, Richard MacNamara, says they're being cautious, and advising people living at Spring Creek to evacuate from 6am tomorrow.
He says the Wairau River stop bank is compromised - and may be running high by the morning.
