Our newsroom can now report - child sex exploitation and bestiality imagery was allegedly discovered on former police Deputy Commissioner, Jevon McSkimming's work devices

An urgent injunction order filed in the High Court by his lawyer has been declined - lifting suppression of the details.

The objectionable material was found while McSkimming was under a separate criminal investigation - for allegations that can't be legally reported.

The Herald's Jared Savage says Police Minister Mark Mitchell only revealed there were 'very serious allegations' when McSkimming resigned.

He says at the time no specific details were given about why, but McSkimming would have been sacked if he hadn't resigned.
