    A record number of young people are applying for farming apprenticeships

    A record number of young people are applying for farming apprenticeships


    The Growing Future Farmers has received 150 applications, from people aged 16 to 21, who want to spend two years learning the trade while living on-site.

    Chief Executive Wendy Paul says it's a positive sign for the future fo farming.

    She says it's heartwarming to see.
