The woman found guilty of murdering her elderly mother in her Khandallah home will be sentenced in the High Court in Wellington today

The woman found guilty of murdering her elderly mother in her Khandallah home will be sentenced in the High Court in Wellington today

Julia DeLuney was found guilty by a jury earlier this year - of killing 79-year-old Helen Gregory in January last year.

During her trial the defence argued someone broke in and committed the crime while DeLuney was out.

The Crown case was that she had been defrauding her mother to feed her cryptocurrency addiction, and staged the scene to look like an accident.
