Reese Witherspoon's new "relationship is very special to her"

The twice-divorced actress has been quietly dating Searchlight Capital founding partner Oliver Haarmann since 2024 and friends insist the star is happier than ever.

A source told PEOPLE: "She is in such a good place right now.

"Her relationship with Oliver is very special to her. He's not interested in the Hollywood spotlight. He's there for her.

"He is very supportive of her. Everything is balanced and it makes her very happy."

Reese has son Deacon, 21, and daughter Ava, 26, with her actor-ex-husband Ryan Phillippe and son Tennessee, 12, with second husband Jim Toth.

Haarmann has two children from a previous marriage.

This is Reese's first serious relationship since her split from Toth in 2023 after 12 years of marriage

A source previously told PEOPLE that Reese is "having fun" with Oliver, and "loves that he's a businessman and not in Hollywood".

The insider added: "Reese is doing great and enjoys dating. She's having fun with Oliver.

"She often flies between Nashville and N.Y.C. to see him. He's spending time with her kids too."

Oliver and Reese are believed to have met through mutual friends.
