The driver joined the convoy outside the Kawakawa Police Station last Thursday night.
Senior Sergeant Clem Armstrong says a check revealed the registered owner was disqualified from driving, so real officers signalled for the Commodore to pull over.
He says during a search, a loaded firearm was found underneath the driver's seat, as well as a 3D-printed gun, ammunition and meth.
A 30-year-old man will appear in court next month on a range of charges including impersonating a Police officer.
