Gwyneth Paltrow's son "wanted to die" after watching her raunchy sex scenes with Timothee Chalamet in Marty Supreme

The 53-year-old star played faded Hollywood actress Kay Stone - the love interest of Timothee's alter ego Marty Mauser in the ping-pong drama - and Moses, 19, could not bear to see the moment his mom stripped off onscreen when they attended the film's Los Angeles premiere in December 2025.

During a Q+A event in support of Marty Supreme, hosted by 63-year-old actress Demi Moore and held at the San Vicente Bungalows in Santa Monica, California, on Friday (09.01.26), Gwyneth said: "Oh my God! My poor son. Can you imagine when he came to the premiere in Los Angeles?

    "He wanted to die."

In December 2025, Gwyneth - who is mom to Moses and daughter Apple, 21, with her 48-year-old ex-husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin - told how her son covered his eyes during his mom's sex scenes in Marty Supreme.

During an appearance on NBC's Late Night With Seth Meyers, she was asked how the teen handled the film's sex scenes and replied: "Not great".

Gwyneth - who split from Chris in 2014 after 11 years of marriage, with their divorce finalised in 2016 - went on to crouch over and put her hands over her eyes, adding: "[Moses] was like this the entire time. He's not into that."

Last month, Gwyneth revealed Apple thought she was "bad-a**" for kissing Timothee, 30, during an intimate scene shot in Central Park, New York, for Marty Supreme - loosely based on the real-life table tennis great Marty Reisman's journey to becoming a champion in table tennis.

While smooching, the stars were photographed by paparazzi, and Gwyneth's children's reaction to the images was not positive.

She told Extra: "My daughter thought it was very bad-a** and my son was like, 'Oh, my God, Mom.' He was like, 'This is too much.'"

When she and Timothee - who is dating 28-year-old media personality Kylie Jenner - shot the scene, Gwyneth blocked out the paparazzi.

The actress - who has been married to 54-year-old TV writer Brad Falchuk since 2018 - said: "I mean, honestly, when you shoot in Central Park, there's so many paparazzi around.

"You're just trying to focus on what you're doing, and I didn't think about much, but like, how can I just focus on this? There's so much happening."

Also in December 2025, Gwyneth admitted she found it "weird" filming intimate scenes with Timothee.

During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, she explained: "It's like you're making out with someone that you don't [know]... You're not in a relationship with them. There's no romance. It's like very mechanical."

Actress Drew, 50, agreed, explaining it was like getting intimate with a "colleague".

Gwyneth quipped: "It's like a choreography but involving tongues."

However, Gwyneth insisted Timothee is "such a wonderful young man", and she had a great time working with him.

Gwyneth added: "Really, he's very polite, very talented, just so nice to be with. I'm really having a good time with him."
