Two thirds of the country are in for some heavy rain this afternoon

The sub-tropical weather system that's been causing flooding in New South Wales is heading here.
MetService metereologist Angus Hines says the top of the South Island and almost the entire North Island will get a dose of bad weather late today, and into tomorrow.
He says the most significant rain looks to be in eastern Bay of Plenty where a heavy rain warning is in place.
