Hopes an interest in collectors cars can stay in top gear

Hopes an interest in collectors cars can stay in top gear

Webb's is auctioning off a range of classic and quirkier cars from its Mount Eden showroom in Auckland this afternoon.

Among the cars going under the hammer include a classic 1962 Jaguar E Type, and a 1963 car built to go on land and water.

Head of Collectors' Cars Caolán McAleer says it's good they're still seeing a lot of sellers out there.

He says there's still no shortage of buyers -- and have seen a huge number of interested collectors reach out.
