Police are asking for witnesses to a random attack on a bus in Auckland's Pakuranga on Friday morning

Police are asking for witnesses to a random attack on a bus in Auckland's Pakuranga on Friday morning

A 16-year-old schoolboy was assaulted by a woman, reportedly with a metal rod - on a bus from Howick into the city, along Pakuranga Road.

He has serious facial injuries - and lost three teeth.

Police say the woman got off the bus before they arrived.

They're asking anyone with information to come forward.
