Wellington city's property market's running hot, with a sharp rise in sales

Real Estate Institute figures reveal sales rose 10.8 percent annually in November.

In Wellington city, the figure was up 52 percent year on year - and 42 percent compared to October.

OneRoof Editor Owen Vaughan says falling house prices played a part.

He says property prices have fallen seven to 10 percent year on year.
