Aotearoa's best burgers have been crowned, after a nationwide hunt

Aotearoa's best burgers have been crowned, after a nationwide hunt

Peake's Kitchen -- a food truck in The Catlins -- has been named the Supreme Winner of Burger Nation, for its Beef Burger.

Christchurch's Sumner Social has swept the Chicken category, while Auckland's 507 Eatery and Soul Batter took out the Plant and Seafood categories respectively.

The competition was voted on by Kiwis, who ate more than 100-thousand burgers throughout the month-long campaign period.
