Change is afoot in the Black Caps

Change is afoot in the Black Caps

Gary Stead has confirmed his decision to step away as coach of the white ball formats.

He will decide in the next few weeks if he wishes to re-apply for the role of test coach.

Stead has cited the busyness of the role since September with relatively non-stop action.

He was first appointed to the position in 2018 following the resignation of Mike Hesson, and has twice had his contract renewed in 2020 and 2023 - the latter term expires in June.
