A long-term outlook has led to Australian test cricket skipper Pat Cummins skipping the T20 series against the Black Caps in October

The pace bowler is dealing with a back niggle after the test tour of the West Indies.

Selector George Bailey says a plan was already in place for Cummins with a home Ashes series starting against England in November.
