Stats NZ has signalled signs of a slight turnaround in the job market

Stats NZ has signalled signs of a slight turnaround in the job market

Its latest figures show the number of filled roles rose 0.2 percent last month.

Primary sector jobs were up 0.2 percent, those in manufacturing up 0.6 percent, and the service sector slipped up 0.1 percent.

More people were in work in Canterbury, Wellington and Auckland.

However, ASB economists say much of the change is due to downward revisions to previous data.
