The prices of New Zealanders' favourite food items are continuing to jump

New data from Infometrics and Foodstuffs shows costs from grocery suppliers to supermarkets increased 2.3-percent for the year to September.
This is the same result as in August, after a period of small increases.
Infometrics Principal Economist Brad Olsen says headline inflation is sitting in the right place, but some food prices are still rising.
He says a lot of frequently purchased items have gone up - like dairy, meat, chocolate and potato chips.
