At least 390,000 hectares of land has been burnt as wildfires continue to rage in Australia

More than 20 fires are burning in the state of Victoria, with a State of Disaster declared.

One person was found dead near a vehicle in the area of Gobur last night.

Australian correspondent Murray Olds says the damage is significant.

He says at least 300 structures have been destroyed, including homes, a school and machinery sheds.
