Dolly Parton is set to launch Dolly's Tennessean Travel Stop in 2026

The 79-year-old country music star has partnered with the team behind the Tennessean Travel Stop to rebrand its flagship Cornersville, Tennessee location under the name Dolly's Tennessean Travel Stop by the summer of 2026.

The singer explained: "I have spent the bulk of my life on the road, and more specifically on a bus.

"All the years spent visiting greasy spoon cafes, truck stops, and roadside pit stops have given me an understanding of what traveller's desire on the road. Whether you are driving a truck, a bus, or a car, you want a place that feels like home and recharges you for the rest of your journey. I believe we will fill a void out there on the highways, all while bringing the heart and soul of Tennessee."

Danny Nozell, the CEO of CTK Enterprises and long-time manager of Dolly, is also thrilled with the singer's latest partnership.

Danny said: "Dolly's Tennessean Travel Stops will be more than a place to refuel - it's about recharging the spirit.

"This project reflects Dolly's love for her home state and her commitment to supporting local business, community, and the travellers who keep America moving."

Meanwhile, Dolly previously claimed that "you have to work at being happy".

The singer is well-known for her upbeat outlook, but Dolly admits that it still takes some "work".

The 9 to 5 hitmaker told the Guardian newspaper: "You have to work at being happy. Some people work at being miserable.

"If I wake up in the morning and don't feel great or things are not great, I try to think about what I can do to make things work better, rather than just falling into that deep hole, because then you just go deeper and deeper.

"I just try to have a good attitude and make things right; to be grateful for the things I have, thank God, and look for spiritual strength for myself."
