Peter Siddle could earn a shock recall to the Australian cricket side

Peter Siddle could earn a shock recall to the Australian cricket side after coach Justin Langer revealed he was an option to replace injured quick Josh Hazlewood for the Boxing Day Test

The Aussies are searching for at least one extra quick in Melbourne, with Hazlewood ruled out with a hamstring injury.

Australia already have James Pattinson and Michael Neser in their 13-man squad, with the former the favourite to replace Hazlewood.

But Langer says Siddle, whose career appeared over after the Ashes, that he is bowling well for Victoria and at the MCG.
