The Kiwi tourism industry's looking up after an 11-million dollar cash injection

The Kiwi tourism industry's looking up after an 11-million dollar cash injection

The industry's taken a hit after the coronavirus prevented Chinese tourists from coming to New Zealand.

Ten million dollars is going to Tourism New Zealand to diversify its presence in other countries - and one million for domestic marketing in affected regions.

Auckland University's Mike Lee says it's a great opportunity to bring new visitors to Aotearoa.

He says Tourism New Zealand should look towards the Indian market, as well as those in North and South America.
