Expect Covid-19 vaccination centres to start popping up around the country over the next few months

Expect Covid-19 vaccination centres to start popping up around the country over the next few months

The first large-scale vaccine centre opened in east Auckland yesterday.

Two more clinics are due to open in central and west Auckland in the coming weeks.

Covid-19 Vaccine and Immunisation Programme Group manager Joe Bourne says sites will be set up in different parts of the country, depending on the facilities available.

He says some sites will be set up in existing healthcare facilities -- while others will be set up in designated buildings.

The Government is due to announce its roadmap for the vaccine roll-out this afternoon.
