Riley Keough was "losing [her] mind" on the set of 'Mad Max: Fury Road' because it is how she met her husband

The 34-year-old actress met stuntman Ben Smith-Petersen, 32, tied the knot in 2015 after working on the action film together earlier that year and she has now recalled that the whole experience was one of the most "amazing" things to have ever happened in her life

Speaking on SiriusXM's 'The Jess Cagle Show with Julia Cunningham', she said: "I'm sure you've read all the stuff about it, but it was like, I don't remember feeling like I was filming a movie ever.

"I remember being like, 'I live in this world and I'm totally losing my mind. That was my experience, but it was one of the most beautiful and challenging and amazing, incredible experiences of my life, and all of us who were there, it was so life-changing and, of course, I met my husband, so it was like extra life-changing.

The 'Daisy Jones and the Six' - who has three-year-old daughter Tupelo with Ben - had just come out of a relationship when she met her husband and "definitely wasn't looking" to fall in love but they bonded when they both realised they were working on location with little else to do.

In an essay for British Vogue, she explained: "I was just out of a relationship that I needed to recover from, so definitely wasn't looking for anything. Ben was on set and I saw him. It had been a year, and he just felt more grown up and there was something about him. I was like, 'Oh wow.'

"He felt so much more mature. We were in Fox Studios in Sydney.

"He came up to me and said, 'Can I send you my music to listen to?' and I said, 'Sure.' I told him, 'I'm here for a month, I don't have much to do... maybe you could teach me to surf?', which is hilarious, because I'm so terrified of sharks and I would never surf now."
