Lily Collins thinks Mindy Chen is actually Emily Cooper's one true love

The 'Emily In Paris' actress - who will once again play the title role in the recently announced fifth season of the Netflix hit - has suggested her character's soulmate isn't actually any of the men she's dated

Asked about Emily's true love, she told E! News: "Mindy! Always! The hot roommate."

She described Ashley Park's character Mindy as "the one with the voice, the one with the heart", adding that their friendship is "everything".

However, the 35-year-old star actually hopes the storyline shifts to focus on Emily moving around the world to experience different countries.

She added: "I think she needs to take a little side trip to Tokyo at some point. That travel experience would be one for the books.

"There's a lot of locations that I would love Emily to go to."

Last month, Ashley admitted she was "so f****** lucky" to have her co-star Lily in her life aawy from the camera.

She told Cosmopolitan magazine: "We both came into each other's lives at a time when we needed that exact kind of friendship.

"We came to each other at the exact right moment."

Earlier this week, Netflix confirmed the show would return for a fifth season.

Darren Star, the show's creator, told Tudum: "We're thrilled with the incredible response to this season of 'Emily in Paris' and excited to return for a fifth to continue Emily's adventures in Rome and Paris!"

In season four, Emily starts a romance with a handsome Italian man and she then opens an office for Agence Grateau in Rome.

Looking forward to the new season, Darren shared: "Emily's going to have a presence in Rome. It doesn't mean she's not going to be in Paris, but she's going to have a presence in Rome."

And he also confirmed that Emily's burgeoning romance will be a big focus of season five of the show.

He said: "I feel like they have a real spark and a real connection and a real romantic connection. A lot of that's going to continue to play out next season."
