Olivia Munn has admitted having a newborn and a toddler is "not for the faint of heart"

The 44-year-old actress is the mother of three-week-old daughter Méi and two-year-old son Malcolm - whom she has with 42-year-old comedian husband John Mulaney - and has given an insight into how exhausting it is parenting two little ones

On her Instagram Story, she captioned a picture of herself looking tired with her hand in her chin: "This is proof that I made it through last night.

"Having a toddler and a newborn at the same time is not for the faint of heart."

Olivia also shared her Google search for "Why do newborns always stay awake?" that dealt her the news that babies do not know the difference between day and night.

Alongside the screenshot, she quipped: "Hope everyone's having a great night."

The 'Newsroom' actress had her newborn via surrogate and admitted not being able to carry her little girl left her with "so many profound emotions".

Announcing her arrival into the world last month, she wrote on Instagram: "Méi June Mulaney came into the world September 14, 2024, the year of the dragon (dragon emoji.)

"I had so many profound emotions about not being able to carry my daughter. When I first met our gestational surrogate, we spoke mother to mother.

"She showed me so much grace and understanding, I knew I had found a real-life angel.

"Words cannot express my gratitude that she kept our baby safe for nine months and made our dreams come true.

"I am so proud of my little plum, my little dragon for making the journey to be with us. My heart has exploded."

Olivia told in April how she had suffered a "terrifying" breast cancer diagnosis a year earlier, which resulted in four surgeries, a double mastectomy and medically induced menopause.

She also had an egg retrieval procedure in June 2023 followed by breast reconstruction in September that year.
