Gisele Bundchen is "thriving" ahead of welcoming her third child

The 44-year-old model - who already has Benjamin, 15, and Vivian, 12, with her ex-husband Tom Brady - is currently preparing for the arrival of her first child with boyfriend Joaquim Valente, and Gisele appears to be "the happiest she's ever been"

A source told PEOPLE: "Gisele's doing great. She seems the happiest she's ever been. She's truly thriving."

The model - who was married to Tom between 2009 and 2022 - is planning to give birth at home and Joaquim "can't wait for the baby to arrive".

The insider explained: "The baby has been a happy surprise.

"Joaquim can't wait for the baby to arrive. They are planning a home birth."

News of Gisele's pregnancy leaked in November.

A source told PEOPLE at the time: "Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they're looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family."

Gisele began dating Joaquim in June 2023, and the model is still loving life with the Jiu-Jitsu instructor.

A source said: "She is secure and happy, and so busy with her life that she doesn't have time to dwell on the negatives out there."

Despite this, the loved-up duo were said to be "taking it slow" at the beginning.

Gisele and Joaquim were friends before their relationship took a romantic twist, and the catwalk star made a concerted effort to keep their relationship low-key.

Another insider explained: "They have been dating since June. They're taking it slow. They started out as great friends first.

"She's very private about this and wanted to keep it quiet while they got to know each other."
