NZ Aero has entered its Super Pac 750 XL at an outback air race, to raise money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
It's the first commercial Extremely Short Take-Off and Landing aircraft, designed to operate in extreme weather with little runway.
NZ Aero CEO Stephen Burrows says the SuperPac will be tested by extreme temperatures at both ends of the scale.
He says it's a perfect opportunity to see how the plane performs, and make adjustments for future missions.
