The jury at the Hakyung Lee's murder trial have heard grim details of the moment her two young children were found in suitcases

The jury at the Hakyung Lee's murder trial have heard grim details of the moment her two young children were found in suitcases

45-year-old Lee's children died in 2018, and she was extradited from South Korea in 2022 after their bodies were discovered in suitcases from an abandoned storage unit.

Lee argues she was insane, had attempted suicide and wanted to take her children with her.

In a statement read by the Crown, a witness described opening one suitcase after purchasing the unit - describing stains on plastic and a smell.
