Pamela Anderson feels excited by her next "incarnation"

The 58-year-old actress has embraced various looks since the early 90s, when she established herself as a global icon, and Pamela - who has recently adopted a make-up free look - is excited to see what the future holds.

Speaking to Miley Cyrus for CR Fashion Book, Pamela shared: "Sometimes you just need to take it all back and see what percolates - like, what's our next incarnation?

"For me, a lot of those moments were about personal expression: being creative, going against the grain, not looking at fashion, just being silly, joyful, and crazy. It was entertaining myself, not really putting much thought into it, because that was the time, that was my age, that was my environment. As I've peeled it back, you realise you can't keep that up for the rest of your life. I thought, 'This isn't who I am when I'm 60, 70, 80 years old'. It's really nice to settle in.

"Who knows what'll happen? I love makeup, I love glam, I love photography, I love all these forms of expression. But right now I'm in this clean space because I don't know what's next, that mystery is exciting."

Pamela has tried to forge her own path in life, despite being "inundated" with outside thoughts and ideas.

She said: "Being yourself means figuring it out on your own, having original thoughts, which can be hard to access when you're being inundated."

Meanwhile, Pamela previously insisted that she doesn't enjoy her "sex symbol" status.

The actress cemented her status as a sex symbol by playing 'C.J.' Parker in Baywatch in the 90s, but Pamela didn't actually enjoy the attention that came her way at the time.

During an appearance on the How To Fail With Elizabeth Day podcast, Pamela explained: "I don't like being a sex symbol.

"I mean, I think it's not very sexy. I think we all aspire to be sexy in our relationships, but sexy for the world is, I don't know.

"It brought a lot of attention I didn't like, but I hate to say that because I'm not complaining, but I do feel that is a slippery slope where you are presenting yourself to the world like this and you get this attention back that."
