Some 100-thousands workers across sectors like health and education, plan to stop work on Thursday.
Minister Judith Collins has penned a letter to New Zealanders - detailing how the strike will affect students and patients in hospital.
She also says the offers on the table are quite good considering the wider picture.
Collins says public sector wages, on average, have gone up more than private sector wages.
