Vanessa Hudgens and her husband Cole Tucker have welcomed their second child into the world

The High School Musical star took to Instagram on Saturday (29.11.25) and shared a photo of her lying in a hospital bed whilst holding onto the 29-year-old former professional baseball shortstop and outfielder's hand.

Vanessa - who gave birth to their first child in July 2024 - captioned the post with: "Well .... I did it. Had another baby!!! What a wild ride labour is. Big shout out to all the moms.

"It's truly incredible what our bodies can do. (sic)"

Like their first child, the36-year-old actress and the sportsman have decided to keep the name and sex of the newborn private.

Thousands of people sent Vanessa and Cole congratulatory messages in the post's comments section.

Smoke actress Jurnee Smollett, 39, penned: "Congratulations gorgeous mama bear. Well done. It's truly a miracle."

TV host Mario Lopez, 52, wrote: "Congrats!"

A fan of Vanessa's said: "Amazing! Sending an abundance of joy and happiness to your new beautiful soul and growing family!"

And another supporter left: 'Many congratulations my dear @vanessahudgens you are an incredible mother, I love you very much, blessings for you and your beautiful family. (sic)"

In July, Vanessa and Cole announced they were expecting their second child.

She confirmed the news on Instagram with a series of photos of her and Cole beaming with joy as Vanessa showed off her baby bump.

The star captioned the adorable post with: "Round two!!!"

Vanessa was saddened that she could not announce their first child's birth herself because photographs of her leaving hospital in Santa Monica, California, were circulated online.

She wrote on her Instagram Stories: "We're disappointed that our family's privacy was disrespected and exploited during this very special time due to the greed of a long lens camera feeding the media.

"Despite all of that, mom, dad and baby are happy and healthy."

Vanessa's career choices were made with her future children at the forefront of her thoughts.

She told E! News: "I'll show my kids all my work. That's why I chose things along the way in my career. I wanted to make sure that when I did have kids, there would be something for them to watch at every age."

Vanessa and actor Austin Butler were in a long-term relationship, but it ended in 2020 after nine years together.

That year, she met her true love with Cole, and they got engaged in February 2023.

In December 2023, the smitten couple said "I do" in front of 100 guests, including her High School Musical costars Monique Coleman, 45, and Lucas Grabeel, 41, at their fairytale wedding in Tulum, Mexico.
