It hasn't taken long for Ireland to embrace the challenge of facing the All Blacks in the quarter-finals of the Rugby World Cup

It hasn't taken long for Ireland to embrace the challenge of facing the All Blacks in the quarter-finals of the Rugby World Cup

By finishing second in Pool A behind Japan, the Irish will be part of a game that many pundits had as the tournament decider.

Ireland first five Jonathan Sexton believes this will bring the best out in his side.

Scott McLaughlin's Bathurst 1000 win will remain provisional.

Supercars officials have announced they will further investigate the Kiwi's DJR Team Penske teammate Fabian Coulthard for his tactics during the victory at Mount Panorama.

It's alleged Coulthard slowed after a safety car was called with 25 laps remaining, allowing McLaughlin to extend his advantage.

Coulthard now faces a fine or loss of championship points.

Australian captain Caitlin Bassett believes tiredness played a part in the one goal loss to the Silver Ferns in the Constellation Cup opener in Christchurch.

The Diamonds led by five going into the final quarter but New Zealand prevailed 53-52.

Bassett says they will need to make full use of their squad in Wednesday's second test in Auckland.
