Mystics coach Tia Winikerei wants to gather international coaching experience before she would consider bidding for the Silver Ferns role

Winikerei - who won an ANZ Premiership title in her first year at the Mystics - has confirmed she won't be in the mix to potentially replace Dame Noeline Taurua.

She wants to get Fast5, under-21s or New Zealand A experience first.

Meanwhile, Mystics assistant Rob Wright has hinted he could be involved in a bid.
