Police are still searching for the driver involved in an alleged hit and run on Auckland's North Shore - which injured two women and their dogs

Emergency services were called to Attwood Road in Paremoremo just after 7am yesterday, after reports of a white ute hitting two pedestrians.

One woman was seriously injured, and the other moderate - while one dog was seriously injured, and the other has yet to be found.

Police say the vehicle didn't stop, but sustained some damage in the crash which will probably be noticeable.
