    And Canterbury also sent off one of their hometown heroes in today's 36-28 win over Otago in the grand final in Christchurch.

    Captain Tom Christie is off to Newcastle in the English Premiership.

    Christie told Gold Sport how he tried to approach the big game, and his likely last-ever for Canterbury.
