    Two people have been badly injured after a car crashed into a tree in Tolaga Bay, north of Gisborne, early this morning


    Emergency services were called to Waiapu Road just before 1am - St John says one person is critically injured and the other is in a serious condition.

    Fire and Emergency crews had to free one of the occupants from the vehicle.
