    Blues coach Vern Cotter says his departure to the Reds in 2027 works for both franchises


    He was approached three months ago by the Aussie Super Rugby outfit, whose coach Les Kiss will replace Joe Schmidt at the Wallabies in June.

    Cotter liked the Reds staff, while Blues CEO Karl Budge and General Manager of Rugby Murray Williams are comfortable with his decision.



    Cotter led the Blues to a title in his first season but battled into the playoffs last year, winning just 6 of 14 regular season games.
