Brandi Glanville has finally discovered the cause of the facial disfiguration which aged her "20 years overnight"

The 53-year-old spent more than $130,000 on medical bills as she attempted to track down a diagnosis with doctors explaining her issues were being caused by a parasite - and Brandi has now revealed it all stemmed from ruptured breast implants because leaking silicone clogged her lymph nodes and led to the infection.

She told TMZ.com: "I definitely had a parasite, I was shocked because I've had [my implants] for 20 years - almost. They looked fine, they felt fine, the mammogram said they were fine, it wasn't until I had a sonogram.

"I was just feeling like maybe you should check that too, why not? I've checked everything else. I went to 21 doctors. I spent so much money ... "

She went on to add: "There is such a thing as breast implant illness and you really should change your implants every 10 years - I just didn't do it. If it's not broke, don't fix it! I learned a really, really hard lesson ... It sucks to age like 20 years overnight."

Brandi previously admitted she had exhausted her life savings trying to figure out the mystery illness, which has ongoing for several years.

She told UsWeekly: "I'm out of funds. I'm out over six figures at this point. "I don't have the means to go anywhere at this point. I'm online every day, going down a different rabbit hole. It's exhausting. It's all-consuming."

She added: "So, I went to the best infectious disease doctor, I went to the best allergist. I had to because when you've seen every doctor at Kaiser and they're telling you, 'Maybe see a dentist.' And you're like, 'I'm at the dentist constantly, [but] there's a lump in my neck and my throat under my cheekbone that goes to the other side of my face.

"It's moving down my body, like, literally in my neck now moving on my left shoulder [and] down my arm. I have to get up, I have to stretch, I have to get in a hot tub. I have a routine and it sucks.

"My lowest moment is] just not living life and missing out on life. I literally don't do anything and I feel like I'm experiencing [the] COVID-19 [pandemic lockdown] all over again, but with some miserable side effects!"
