A tricky decision looms for Athletics New Zealand as to which female pole vaulters they select for the world indoor championships in Poland from March 20 to 22

Nations can enter two athletes per event, but Imogen Ayris, Olivia McTaggart and Eliza McCartney have each met the qualifying standard.

Ayris has soared over a new 4.76-metre personal best to finish third on countback at a meet in France.

McTaggart has delivered a season's best 4.70 metres to come fifth at the same competition.

McCartney has also cleared the same mark for the first time this season at an outing in Auckland.
