    Our economy will pick up, it's just taking a little longer than expected


    The latest ASB Quarterly Economic Forecast reveals this year is shaping up to be a sub-par one for economic momentum globally.

    ASB Chief Economist Nick Tuffley says we saw the economy lose a lot of momentum over 2018.

    He says this year we've had a soft start, but there are still some things that could prop the economy up - like good export prices and falling interest rates.
