    A man's been arrested over a firearms scare that sent Taupo schools into lockdown last week


    Police swarmed to Hilltop on Thursday - after reports an agitated man was walking around with a gun.

    A kindergarten and five schools went into lockdown.

    Police have found a 28-year-old man at a Counties Manukau address, and he'll appear in the District Court today on firearms charges.
