A truck driver has been accused of driving in Auckland rush hour traffic - seven times above the legal alcohol limit

A truck driver has been accused of driving in Auckland rush hour traffic - seven times above the legal alcohol limit

Officers were called to State Highway 20's Waterview Tunnel - after reports a truck transporting a car was struggling to stay in its lane, just after 3pm yesterday.

Senior Sergeant Scott Cunningham says the truck scraped the wall multiple times - and the driver stopped in live lanes when signalled to pull over.

A 38-year-old man was arrested, after returning a breath alcohol result of nearly 19-hundred micrograms.
