A 14-year-old girl has been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in a coastal city in southern Queensland

11 August 2024

Emergency services were called about 9pm on Saturday after reports a 24-year-old man had been stabbed in Hervey Bay, about 300-kilometres north of Brisbane.

He was taken to hospital but died from his injuries.

A girl was taken into custody by Queensland Police and later charged with murder.

Police allege the pair were known to each other.
