Public Service Commissioner Sir Brian Roche, is questioning whether unionised secondary school teachers are committed to reaching a deal, as they vote to strike again

Public Service Commissioner Sir Brian Roche, is questioning whether unionised secondary school teachers are committed to reaching a deal, as they vote to strike again

The PPTA says an offer to presented to them by the Government last night, was rushed, poorly thought out and still fails to address their issues.

Teachers will now only teach certain year levels on certain days next week - and carry out a full-day national strike on October 23, as well as a two hour strike on November 5.

Sir Brian Roche says the Public Service Commission's sought to remedy everything the PPTA's raised.

He says blaming the strike action on the Government is misleading and disappointing.
