Mystery photos from a dead Dunedin teenagers' phone ... have been shown in court

Venod Skantha's trial continues in the High Court at Dunedin - where he's accused of killing 16-year-old Amber-Rose Rush.

Today the jury's been shown a series of photos of a dark image with hazy light around the middle - taken six minutes after Amber Rose sent the last message from her phone.

The Crown's key witness has testified saying Skantha emerged from Amber Rose's home with her phone and driver licence, before repeatedly smashing the phone on the pavement.
