A call for parents and teachers to work together to keep children in school

A call for parents and teachers to work together to keep children in school

New data has revealed another drop in regular school attendance, with Mondays and Fridays the most frequently skipped days.

More than one in five students don't show up for the last day of term.

Principals' Federation President Perry Rush says every day at school is key for their learning, and parents need to understand that.

He's against students being taken overseas during term time, and wants parents keeping a close eye on their children when they know the kids should be at school.
