Peter Andre says his wife Emily has been a "legend" since his coronavirus diagnosis

The 47-year-old pop star has taken to Instagram to heap praise on his wife, after recently revealing he's been diagnosed with the illness

Alongside two memes of Bill Murray and Kim Jong-Un - the leader of North Korea - telling her she'd done a good job, Peter wrote: "Thanks for being a bit of a legend the last few days @dr_emily_official . Even Bill Murray and Kim J think your great (sic)"

Peter - who has been married to the doctor since 2015 - revealed he'd tested positive for coronavirus earlier this month.

The singer admitted he'd been feeling "extremely tired and unwell" and therefore decided to get tested for the illness.

His management team subsequently confirmed: "Yes, he has got COVID and he’s recovering at home. He is coping well."

A source also said: "Peter started feeling unwell a few days ago, but he didn’t suspect that he had COVID, despite feeling extremely tired and unwell. But he decided to go for a test to make sure as he started feeling very weak, which is unusual for him and he struggles to breathe sometimes."

Meanwhile, Emily tested positive for coronavirus back in July.

The doctor - who has Amelia, seven, and Theo, four, with Peter - revealed that she had separated herself away from her family as she recovered from the virus.

She said at the time: "I was only able to wave at them from the top of the stairs. Myself and Pete also slept in separate bedrooms just to be on the safe side.

"It was horrible but the family adapted to it really well and I got a big hug at the end. I had a sore throat and lost my sense of smell and taste for a week."
