Nikki Bella "cherishes" the days she gets to work out

The 40-year-old retired wrestler has two-year-old son Matteo with husband Artem Chigvintsev and explained that whenever she has the time, she relishes the chance to get in a "sweat session" done in the gym,

She told UsWeekly: "Time for 'me time'! Nothing like a sweat session when I can get it in. Feels hard as of late, but I cherish the days get to do it."

Away from the gym and her passion for fitness, the former WWE star did go on to add that because her husband is away for several months at a time as he fulfils his role as a professional dancer on 'Dancing With the Stars', she finds herself wondering just how much of her life is spent video calling him on FaceTime but loves being able to record her Apple podcast with her sister Brie from home.

She said: "During DWTS season, he and I live on FaceTime. I wonder how many hours a day we spend on [there] - I can't even imagine! I love having a podcast - it's such a great way to connect with our Bonita Army and to meet and interview such incredible people! I love the days we record from home because Matteo is by my side."

The 'Barmageddon' host went on to add that she is "in love" with being a mother and revealed that she and her little boy always read before bed in what she called her "favourite" part of the day.

She said: "It's so cute to see what books he picks out every night. I'm so in love with my son! We always read two books before I turn the lights off at 7 P.M"
