    Two young girls have been rescued after becoming trapped on rocks by the tide at Auckland's Muriwai

    Two young girls have been rescued after becoming trapped on rocks by the tide at Auckland's Muriwai


    Muriwai Volunteer Lifeguard Service says the rescue was carried out with just 45 minutes of daylight remaining.

    Police, Fire and Emergency and the St John ambulance service all assisted in the rescue.
